Oh It's A Trialling Life...

Well the time has come for me to sit down and rack my brains for what I could tell the world about this week. Sadly I can't write more than a paragraph about Justin Beaver (before I start smashing my ears with tiny little rock hammers to drown out the ever-present sound of Baby, Baby, Bayyyyby) so I thought I'll try and get a few ideas out in this post rather than flood your screens with more posts than, well erm, you know... A thing with a lot of posts on?

So what's crackalackaling? Well sadly I've had to depart from the world that I've been part of for the last seven years. I've gotten to know a lot of right characters and many friends. The place which once was so mysterious is now like a second home to me. Yes, Lost has finally finished after 6 glorious seasons. For those of you who haven't seen the last episode yet, I'll leave you with one comment; Lost ends how it starts.

So seeing as that finished, I started looking to other videos for entertainment and suprisingly Youtube came up trumps. These are both videos that have been doing the viral rounds for a few years now but if you're yet to bask in their glory, then sit back and prepare to be entertained.

It Appears I'm On An Island...

And I can't get off it, although now I can but I don't want to...

Seem familiar? Lost is one of my favourite TV shows. I used to watch it back when S1 was on Channel 4 but when it transferred over to Sky I couldn't watch it so for years I had to go without my fix of Saywer and Kate playing hide the Jacob..

I started watching them online fairly recently and in the space of about three weeks watched all the seasons I hadn't seen and since then I've been on the edge of my seat eagerly awaiting for the next episode to become available every week.

One advantage of watching them all [effectively] back to back (Which I must say isn't healthy, especially when you do it with 24 - within about 8 hours you'll start to think YOU are Jack Bauer, trust me from experience) is that you really notice the difference in the way the show is being made. I loved seasons 1, 2 and 3 (Especially 3) but I felt that, after that things just went down hill. Then the 6th season came along...

Smashing it's way through my screen with the roar of polar bears and smoke monsters it came, and in it's wake it left something I've been longing to feel for the first time since season 1:

I haven't a clue what the hell is going on.

Characters that are alive but dead at the same time? Submarines that have Scottish men locked up in them? A spring of yellow light? It's A TaARP!!!111

Mountain Dew, Or... Is It?

Hardcore fans (mostly gamers) have been campaigning and trolling Pepsi Co. for the release of Mountain Dew in the UK for quite a while now.

It was available back in the early 90s for a short time period but since then hasn't been seen on store shelves except when imported from the US or Asia (and sadly Pepsi weren't quite happy with my proposal of a dew pipeline spanning the ocean to bring us sugary goodness) so getting your hands on the stuff for years has been harder than finding a pair on Bieber (Can you see the recurring theme yet?)

But thankfully, salvation was brought to dry mouths when Pepsi announced that they would start marketing the drink in the UK again this year. Sadly, that excitement ended when company decided that there wasn't a market for the drink. Instead they chose to run with 'Mountain Dew Energy'.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for energy drinks (Monster FTW) but why couldn't they have listened to the popular demand for the normal US style Dew instead of deciding that energy drinks were the way to go...

Anyway, I decided to drop my prejudice and open my arms embracingly to the prospect of having at least some form of florescent green drink in the UK. And now that I have tried the magical nectar, I can best sum up Mountain Dew Energy as having dropped my trousers to have some fun, but not in a way that I'd have hoped...

The drink itself can be described very simply if you've tasted the real thing. Imagine the normal Mountain Dew, but watered down and with less sugar content. Oh, and more bubbles.

Commence Boredom

Let's put it simply, I'm personally brilliant at jumping on bandwagons (along with 90% of the young generation - take dubstep as an example if you don't believe me) and it really was about time that I made some step into the world of attacking others with my ramblings, thoughts and general goings.

I think of it this way, if I stick my thoughts on this blog, then I won't be plaguing people in society who don't really want to know about whatever awesome new hypercardioid microphone Shure have just released, Even if it is really awesome...

Anyway, back to the point; This blog (As the title suggests) is about t3h tinternets and all the various related bits of society that stay glued to it. Expect to one minute be reading some gaming related post before suddenly being smacked in the face by some notes on audio engineering or how my life was so much better about 5 years ago (You know, before I actually had to do any work...).

If you're game for glancing over my posts here on Web et al. then make sure to subscribe so that you can be updated whenever my pen goes to paper on the latest [Insert Mindless Category Here] story to surface or perhaps my views on how [Insert Even More Mindless Category Here] just got singlehandedly ruined by Justin Bieber.

So anyway, all we know is that he's called the Stig...
